Welcome to my unique Math themed website. I am Blaze Angelov, professor of mathematics and physics at OOU “Krste Petkov Misirkov” – Radovish, with 11 years of professional work experience. In addition to my primary job, I also work part-time in the educational center “EDUCO” – Radovish, where I give lectures in math and physics for students who have difficulties with the standard educational process and need additional help.
Guided by the thought that every educational system undergoes changes and adjustments for a variety of reasons, I decided to make my contribution in adjusting the appearance of teaching about new generations and the situation with online classes. We have witnessed that all educators were in a situation to improvise, to combine different methods to adapt to the new situation of learning from home, due to the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Personally, in search of a good method, I decided to work with my students using very carefully created presentations in PowerPoint, which contain animations, special effects, click-by-click problem solving, etc. Honestly, I was surprised at how well the students accepted this method of work, and every day I heard words of praise from both the students and their parents. In some parts of the work, I was even more satisfied than the standard teaching, because I liked the presentation class more than the same class that I had classically taught years ago.
This is where the idea was born that this method can work and can help all students if this type of material is in front of them. That’s why I decided to share my materials with everyone on a website that will be accessible to everyone. I am starting with mathematics, and I hope that a similar variant will emerge in physics.
From everything mentioned above, with the greatest dedication, motivation, desire, and love for the profession, I decided to create and activate my website www.matematikazasite.com/en/. Honestly, I wanted the domain (name of the site) to be in Cyrillic font, but unfortunately, I didn’t succeed in that. Why I decided on the name:
Math For All
The main purpose of the operation of this website is to offer free materials on Mathematics for everyone:
- Students from primary and secondary education who need additional materials and methods to learn mathematics more easily
- Students who can quickly, easily, and effectively locate and learn material that they have forgotten or missed (I hope to share materials prepared specifically for students in the future)
- Parents of students who, together with their students, will socialize a little more by learning mathematics
- Mathematics teaching staff if they decide that some content can be applied in practical teaching
- People who like mathematics (yes, there are) will get an easy-to-use platform where they can look at something interesting in this field
What www.matematikazasite.com/en/ enables to any user:
- Easy navigation and finding materials he wants to learn. The website has a main menu that contains all grades from 6 to 9 primary education and all four years of secondary education. Anyone can locate the required material very easily. Apart from the main menu, on the left side, you have the option to select an area of mathematics that interests you, e.g. geometry, trigonometry, etc.
- Examples galore! If in regular classes a student can see 3-4 examples of solved tasks, here he can see at least several times more. Tasks are divided by types and levels.
- Interesting illustrations that I think and hope will create additional motivation for every student or reader.
- 99% of the starter material is in video form allowing any reader to turn on and off or go back as many times as needed to learn.
- Availability at any time and in any location because the site can be used on any mobile device.
- Possibility of independent learning independent of the educational system.
- Self-assessment if the student tries to solve the tasks by stopping the video at a given moment, then turning it on again will show him whether he is right or not.
- Additional support when we are able to most students feel a range of disadvantages due to online teaching.
How I see my website
An additional learning tool specialized in only one subject “the queen of sciences” – Mathematics!
Probably if you look at the site carefully, you will realize that not all topics are covered and there is a relatively small database, to begin with, but rest assured that I will continue to develop this site until I cover all possible topics and problems in mathematics from several different angles. In addition, in the future, in addition to the initial video material, there will be educational quizzes that each reader will be able to activate at their discretion, to finally receive a report on the degree of accuracy. Also, the site will be upgraded with materials for additional self-checking of knowledge.
Probably in a more modern version, the time will come when you will receive instructions here in video format with direct voice delivery from me. I believe the site will also have an impact on student-student communication because my website allows commenting at the bottom of each shared material, so any student can share a problem assignment and get a response from me or another reader. I hope that this website will grow into the most requested additional aid FOR All worldwide, with a database that can help solve any mathematical problem.
The website has official channels for sharing information on the social network Facebook, to begin with, and will soon be available on Instagram. In addition to social networks, the site is also presented on YouTube with useful video material.
